If you have followed my blog for any length of time you know that I am a big fan of Thrive Themes and their plugins so I just wanted to give you the 'heads up' that they have
just released an upgrade to Thrive Content Builder their WordPress visual editor. In fact it's more than an upgrade it's pretty much a new release with some amazing features and even a new name - Thrive Architect. It's available as a stand alone plug-in, although a subscription to all Thrive's themes and plug-ins is available for
£97 pa (paid in $) which is great value for everything it includes such as Thrive Leads and Thrive Quiz Builder.
If you work with WordPress you know that it's own editor is very limited in what you can do and you probably already use a third party editor; if you've not tried Thrive Architect before I urge you to give it a try.
Just a couple of features I love are that under it's 'Responsive' tab you can edit your website for tablets and smartphones and have different content on these from your desktop version. You can also add background images in live mode and layer content on top of the image (previously
this was only available if you were using a Thrive theme).
As always from Thrive, there are excellent video tutorials.
One final thought about websites; you may have noticed that an increasing number of sites are now SSL certificated - meaning your get the more secure https:// rather http://.
All my sites have been upgraded to this security level. This has two advantages. Your sites are now more secure for your visitors and customers (essential if you sell online) and will rank higher in Google searches as Google are now prioritising secure websites in searches.
Acquiring SSL certificates used to be expensive, but now a number of hosting companies will provide them for free and
will migrate your websites for you. After the hosting and email problems I experienced earlier this year, I decided to upgrade my hosting and have now joined WPX Hosting who have secure UK servers and who took care of the migration of all my websites and the SSL certification. If you are looking for excellent, inexpensive hosting with great 24/7 support I highly recommend you give them a try.
