Hi
I wrote to you recently about how to opt out from auto enrolment if you are exempt.
As a reminder here are the reasons why you may be exempt:
a) There is only one director and there are no other staff working for the company
b) The only people working for the company are directors and none of them has an employment contract
c) The only people working for the company are directors and only one
of them has an employment contract
The Pensions Regulator has now changed the way in which exemption must be claimed and there is now an automated deactivation form which will require certain pieces of information to be provided.
Upon submission of the required information, their records will
be automatically updated and a confirmation email will be issued.
Exemptions via email and letter notifications will no longer be processed.
Hope this helps
