[Sunday Supplement]: A must read article............

Published: Sun, 08/23/15

Hi

If you haven't already read Luke Johnson's article in today's Sunday Times then grab a copy (Business: page 12).

Luke is always worth reading and today he explains why we are turning into a nation of entrepreneurs and why that is a good thing for business and the economy.

He says "They [civil servants] should dabble a little in the private sector - as owners. It would give them insight into what it means to generate sales, meet a payroll, pay invoices, cover overheads - and provide the tax that ends up paying for the entire state sector."

The rest of the article is just as good.

Without the 4.6m 'official' self employed (and the huge numbers of jobs they create), not to mention those too small to be registered for VAT or file accounts our country would be a far poorer place - and not just financially.

Have a great Sunday.
