Get ready for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax

From November‌‌‌ 2025, taxpayers who have submitted their 2024-25 tax return will start receiving letters from HMRC making them aware of Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax.

These letters will inform them that – based on the information they have submitted – they will need to use MTD for Income Tax from April‌‌‌ 2026 and what they need to do to get ready.
